Blower-Door

Blower-Door

Air overpressure and air underpressure

The BlowerDoor measurement is used to detect leaks in windows, doors, walls and roofs, which can lead to energy losses and significant structural damage.

The blower door device is installed in an exterior door of the house. The fan now creates a negative pressure of 50 Pascal in the building (corresponds to the wind pressure on the building at wind force 4 - 5). The amount of air extracted is measured with the BlowerDoor and the air exchange rate at 50 Pascal (n50 value) is determined. We detect leaks with the air velocity measuring device or with the thermographic camera.

An airtight building envelope is important
  • Minimizing energy losses
  • Avoidance of condensation in the construction
  • Ensuring the sound reduction index and the insulating effect of components
